Title: How many restaurants in how many days?
Post by: Evadee on September 17, 2010, 08:03:32 AM
We're off to Kalkan in 2 weeks for the first time  ;D

We are only going for 7 days  :(  but I have a shortlist of 16 restaurants and cafes to visit  ::)  Can see there being some tough decisions, any additional guidance would be great!  We are staying at the Kalkan Regency (I realise we have a 10-15 minute walk into town).  Many thanks  :)

For dinner...
Adams
Mussaka
Aubergine
The Nar Bar
Maya
Alternitif
Rendezvous
Trio bar
Kalamaki
The Olive Garden
Lush bar and restaurant
Sandal

for lunch...
Chillies
Cafe Leon
Cafe Vita
Cafe Zula

You're right about those tough decisions, Evadee!
But they are really nice decisions, and I'll bet you come up with others to tempt you as well ...

The walk is a bit hilly but you'll enjoy the views on the way, and before you know it you'll be soaking up the Kalkan vibe!

Have a great time. We may see you there!
Lori

Thanks for your feedback folks, I do like my food!

We won't be able to do all of them, that's for sure, but hope to try as many as possible  ;D

Do not forget your indigestion medication!  NO, am not being rude about the excellent eating places, have you told your stomach what it is about to receive?  It may not recover in time for your next visit!  Enjoy and I await your post with interest!  burp! Pardon me!

Yes Maryjane is right - be great to hear your views - if you have time / energy after all those gourmet delights!

Oh yes I'm looking forward to posting a report (obviously I don't have the same writing talents as Antler  :-[) I am getting rather excited now after being on this forum and it's only 15 more sleeps!

Should be on a diet really in anticipation of the extra calorie intake

could always have "first breakfast" then "second breakfast" first lunch" then second lunch and so on. It worked for The Hobbits of the Shire and none of them looked overweight :)

Ah, Evadee - you never know about your writing talents till you try - and perhaps you've never been as inspired as you will be when you slide into that Kalkan groove!

Have a fantastic time and post some pics too!

So many restaurants, so little time!!! You have some good choices on your list, we ate at Kalamaki, Mussaka and Baharat whilst we were there in June, all 3 were excellent. Have a lovely time!
