Hi All,
Am arriving in Kalkan around 01.00 am on a Saturday morning on October and need to book a transfer from Dalaman to Kalkan. Does anyone recommend any company over another?
Many thanks.

There are several reputable companies, I personally use abi travel

We always use Enes, very reliable and you get a lovely bottle of ice cold water the minute you get in the car.

Enes are great, definately recommend them

Last year we used Enes, this July Abi and both were excellent. Have just sent an email to Abi to book for three weeks time because their quote was less.

We use Enes now. We used another company once, the driver was the handyman that came out to fix the villa door lock that jammed and cleaned the pool. ! Enes very efficient, sweets and cold water provided. 8)

Central RentaCar are very reliable and excellent. Have also used Abi and Enes who are very good.

Abi for us everytime!!!

Thank you everyone.
I noticed (I think it may have been on this site) that for the return transfer, they pick you up 4 hours before the departure time. Surely this is cutting it a bit fine? You are supposed to arrive 2.5 hours before, and the journey is a good 1.5 hours, assuming no problems?
I would have thought 5 -5.5 hours before flight time would be safer - what do you guys typically do?
Many thanks.

We use Volume Travel for all our airport transfers, walking trips and excursions. The price is very favourable.
Their e-mail address is info@volumetravelturkey.com
Although this is a new name for this year, they have been working in Kalkan for several years.
Most company's allow four hours for the airport transfer. Normally it is a two hour check-in and to be perfectly honest you will not want to spend any more time at Dalaman airport than is absolutely necessary. (Prices are astronomical)
However you get here, hope you have a lovely holiday.

We always ask to leave a little earlier...sometimes you can arrive at the same time as the big transfer coaches otherwise then take ages to get your luggage checked through the scanners ..i'd rather stop for a coffee and a fag on the way take our time and get to Dalaman before check in lines are toooooooooooo big!!..we will be using Abi next year ;)

We used Enes and they were great - our transfer back to Dalaman was at 10 o'clock at night and put it this way no one and i mean no one overtook us!!!!!! ice cold bottled water and the sweets are a lovely touch - are booking them for next year too

We had Xpress Travel booked for us by the owner of the villa we rented and everything went very smoothly and efficiently. The price was £55 each way which I assume is reasonable. That was the price for a car - a minibus is £75 each way.

I have only used Adda up till now. Once for taxi transfers and once for hire car. My judgement on them is still out pending further information. But what I would say is this. We have all made jokes about the way the taxi drivers drive their cars to and from dalaman, most being capable of driving the "Tour of Corsica Rally" and winning. However perhaps we should start to apply gentle pressure through our fearless leaders and when making further transfers, for them to slow down a bit and allow their custommers a more relaxed drive. The overtaking on blind corners and high speed is one thing and they may feel comfortable doing it but in the event of a simple puncture, and on their roads thats very possible, the results could be catestrophic. And as far as i can see there really is no need for it, they may save 10-15 minutes. They must not realise that they are not helping them get more business. Sorry to be a bit of a downer about this but there is a accident waiting to happen and it is one post I would not like to read. Our taxi driver didn't speak English and took no notice when we asked him to slow down. I decided to get a hirecar this year after our experience.

Abi are great and Linda is great.

Sounds really scary cleworthallray :o I had no such problem with Xpress - the two drivers we had were very professional I thought.

Going to Kalkan was not too bad, to fast....... but going to Dalaman was crazy. the first sign of this was when he went down the big hill and the right hand corner just outside of Kalkan. He must have been doing a good 75mph. Enough for us to hold on to stop us sliding as we went round the corner. It didn't get better......hence, the no way a tip. He did it in about 1hour 18 minutes. Yep it was scary
