Hi All. This is my first time on the forum, and I thought I might take the opportunity to pick all your brains to help us make the most of our first visit in a couple of weeks! I apologise in advance if I'm asking questions that have been asked numerous times before!
Firstly, what restaurants can you recommend? A few names seem to keep cropping up on here, such as Luka, Nar, Mussaka and Aubergine. We are quite a big party of 10 including 5 kids aged between 5 & 15, and also 2 veggies, and we all like nice food and wine!
Secondly, the general consensus on here seems to be to bring a small amount of Lira, but the majority in sterling to change in Kalkan for a better rate - have I got this right?
Lastly, which sights/excursions should we not miss during our visit?

Welcome to the forum. Everyone has different opinions about which restaturants are the best so the easiest option is to try them all yourself and form your own opinion. Some people prefer the harbour side others the smaller ones down the backstreets. We have never had an awful meal in Kalkan but obviously some are a better standard than others but it's down to personal choice. If you do a search it will give you lots of ideas of some that might take your fancy.
Regarding day trips a boat trip is always a good idea (again do a search) and the older kids and adults would probabaly enjoy a jeep safari.
Have a nosy around the forum there are loads of posts to give you ideas.
