Title: Live Entertainmant
Post by: kevincat99 on July 14, 2010, 08:24:22 PM
Two years ago nowhere had sofas to sit in prior to having a meal - now everyone has them
One year ago no one really had a bar to sit at - now every corner has one
And this year lots of places have live entertainment - whereas before such places were very few and far between
Can anyone guess what next years trend will be ???  maybe dance floors ??

Answers on a postcard please

Well I love some of the changes you mention, and I love the new cafe culture too, not so keen on english breakfasts and egg and chips, so I am hoping the disco floors will stay in other places

I'm biased I guess, but live music does it for me! I would love to hear live Turkish music from Turkish musicians, as well as jazz, (nice) Blues and Rock. Barish at The Nur Hotel has live music nights, once a week when we were in Kalkan last May. Would love to see more there. Some cafes could possibly have a solo or duo acoustic guitarist / singer doing short sets, and possibly some sort of outdoor area where acoustic music could be played say, once a week. Definitely more authentic Turkish music and dancing would be nice to see somewhere. Allan.
