Hi Lucy, beach clubs are small clubs dotted around the bay with bars, places to eat and water sports, they cost a bit more to eat and drink than in town but are great if you want to sunbathe by the sea other than the beach, the ones that are out of town have a small boat that will take you free of charge and some used to have a free taxi, not sure if they still do.
type beach clubs into the search at the top of the page for more info.

The beach in Kalkan is of the 'shifting shingle' type.It is very difficult to get in & out of the sea,& very hard on the feet. The beach clubs have concrete platforms with easy access to the sea plus other usual facilities .I would suggest if you want to use the beach it is OK if you wear 'croc' type shoes.Apart from this problem the beach is fine with cheap sunbeds & umbrellas, changing hut & toilets. There is also a belediye run cafe at the back of the beach which is good & inexpensive.

I dont really do beach clubs, but I have been to palm  beach, kalamar and my fave, its on the harbour, indigo great for just a drink and a munch and to catch the breeze if its too hot, they are all good but Im sure you will have your own No 1.
I am sure you will chill out,you wont be able to help yourself, best way is dont plan anything,go with the flow, and see what happens.  8)   ;D

Try Patara beach 20 mins on a Dolmus(mini bus)....Beautiful sand and breakers,It has a bar/Cafe, brollys, sunbeds etc... but take plenty of sun cream..the breeze down there can be deceptive ;)
