Title: from Istanbul,to wonderful Kalkan
Post by: clover on April 16, 2010, 07:48:15 PM
I'm a Turkish woman,a retired Dentist with PhD..After working for years in crowded and busy Istanbul, and seeing my two daughters are now grown ups (22 and 25), I decided to retire in Kalkan, and bought a flat in wonderful Club Patara in October. This Sunday I'm coming to stay there and enjoyKalkan!!
I saw your great site and learned lots of things from those nice people in your forums,I think most of them British..  I'm happy to hear how you are all very happy there and talking nicely about Turkish people..
I wish you all very nice and happy holidays..
I hope I'll be happy there,too!!!

Hi Clover,
Welcome to the forum and to Kalkan, you have chosen well, we have a property in Club Patara also. We spent some time in Istanbul last October and agree it is very different to Kalkan.  I think you will be very happy with your retirement choice.

Thank you for your nice comments.I've never been in Kalkan before, only we stayed for a week when we were here for the house buying process..So,all of you know lots more things about Kalkan, than me..But I will be pleased to help with anything I may know better than you...
Thank you again and have nice holidays..
