Morrison's were generous enough to reduce Efes over the Christmas period to £1 a bottle (cheaper than Kalkan :o) so BH stocked up on it. The thing is now he thinks he might have ruined one of his favourite holiday moments - the first Efes when we arrive in Kalkan - by drinking it at home looking at the snow. He's resolved to only drink it in Kalkan from now on, to preserve it's uniqueness ::) ::)
Is there something that other forum members only do in Kalkan....keep it clean please :o ?

Don't worry..... .Efes tastes different in Kalkan ,when youv'e been travelling the best part of the day and the heat is scorchio..that first one is still to be savoured.........Sluuuurp!!.....aaaaaaaa!! Hic! ;)

:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: I am getting better,in oct at the Samira,I was up for breakfast 4 out of 7 days,but one day I did go back to bed at 12 noon !
Even the Samira lads wind me up about my lie ins.
I promise to try harder to get out of bed this year. ;) ;D

the only time I saw the sunrise in Kalkan was when I sat at the bar of Pasha apts having a vodka and raki night with my friend Yusuf and oz who had the Ice/sultan bar,it was a very good night !

I saw my first Kalkan sunrise in October last year because I couldn't sleep - not enough alcohol, obviously. We will probably see the sunrise again, when we go in May this year as our flights have just been changed to stupid o'clock. Not a sunrise through choice, though.

Thats true enough Efes DOES NOT taste the sme when not in Kalkan!! However when in Kalkan and the sun is up over the yard arm (anywhere that is)! Its Efes time as far as myself and friends are concerned!! CHEERS! and roll on the next Kalkan adventure!!!!

The shave, head and neck massage. Incredible. The release of all that tension as it tingled and went right down through my body and out through my toes! Can't get that in the UK - although Jack Daniels & Coke helps release the tension, but without the tingle.
Just under 6 months to go & I will have done my first day's Trip Report.
I could murder a Kaya Fillet Steak right now, or Lamb Shank at Adem's or.........Kofte up at the Mediteran?
No! Back to the treadmill & diet now, to squeeze into those 35 inch shorts.
