I have never seen a postman in Kalkan. If a mailbox is required do you have to register for one in the PTT office?
What if you wanted to mail someone something? Can you send c/o the mailbox in PTT?

When we first moved to Kalkan the postman used to leave post on the wall. We then put a postbox on the wall, result no mail for about 8 months. August  last year and a young man arrived at the gate and introduced himself as the new postman. We then had letters for a month and nothing since. You can rent a PO box at the PTT for a small charge. Private courier services always deliver and that is what we use for anything important. If we can, we also get friends to post letters for us in the UK and bring mail out.
