hello,
We are flying to Kalkan this wednesday morning (really excited now)... we are a husband and wife with a lively toddler!
I love all kinds of food, will try anything, love fish/veg etc and I love going to restaurants for the atmosphere, great views, good conversation etc.
My husband is not very adventurous, he likes foods he is familliar with and no vegetables whatsoever (worse than our toddler! ;D) so he will eat mainly steak & chips, lasagne, burgers, pizza, beer!! I do try to get him to try foreign food, but just from experience in morocco, cuba etc its not going to happen!!
and then we have our daughter, so we need to find child-friendly restaurants!
having read the posts i gather the following are worth going to?:-
~ Nar
~ Fez
~ Baharat Restaurant
~ Mussaka
~ Doy Doy (but to be weary of hidden service charges)
~ Adams (short drive out of kalkan)
~ Tornado Restaurant, Kalamar Rd (for when my husband cant face another turkish dish and wants an english fry up)
I'd like to know what you'd recommend as qood quality inexpensive restuarants, and then perhaps one or two top/ pricier restaurants say for the friday/saturday night?

Hi Folks,
Child friendly? They all are! We like Akin Pizza, Kaya and Saffron. BBQ also will do carry out and has a big Pizza oven.
We also like Bosphorous. Kosk, Trio, Olive Garden and Aubergine if you want somewhere more posh. You will not get a bad meal anywhere. Very much a personal choice.
All the ones you mentioned would be high on our list also. What about Rendevous?

Scroll down thru the restaurants bars and nightlife section, you'll see they've all been covered numerous times, and take your pick

if you have kids the Kaya is good ..they have Kadir the Magician that comes around the tables being all magician like (you won't work out the tricks!)1...and it won't break the bank...as someone else said BBQ over the road is excellent value and quite good for the unadventurous ..have a great time and let us know your thoughts when you get back ;)

Definitely Kaya for all of the reasons above, but I'd also suggest Omar's Kitchen which is good value and very child-friendly.

I think that Tornado have closed, all the signs gone and tables and chairs packed up.
