Good luck to Turkey's football team this evening, who face a tough match in Bosnia Herzegovina. Anyone dining out will hopefully make allowances for any slightly distracted waiters after 9pm! If last Saturday was anything to go by, there will be a good atmosphere around the village.

Enjoy!!! It was fantastic being in Kalkan during Euro 2008 when Turkey came back from being dead and buried in not one, but two games ;D ;D
Think we even got a free drink in Moonlight :o :o :o

Ach we don't need sympathy, we're used to it :)
One of the greatest things about being a Scotland fan is that we never actually think we're going to win so when we do we're genuinely stunned and delighted but win lose or draw we usually just like to party and have a good time.
Picture the scene in Glasgow city centre on Wednesday night, a large group of Dutch and Scottish fans doing the "YMCA" fantastic :D

I booked my Kalkan break to coincide with next years world cup....i don't expect England to win it ..but at least we are along for the ride!! i will wear my shirt with pride(hopefully nicer than this years one which is not a good look...i look like Mr Chumley Warner it's so old fashioned!!) :D ;)

Normally I would agree with Eniste but this time I'm not so sure. Normally in a World Cup competition the weather is not in our favour ie it's too hot. That won't be the case next year in South Africa. We also have a world class coach who has turned a collection of talented individuals into a team. Next year may be our best chance in a generation.
Are you listening Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard & Co... Do you want a World Cup medal or not? If so, Listen to Fabio, behave yourselves & DO NOT GET INJURED!

I'm lucky to be going as my sons band is playing at the World Cup and my OH who is the fund raiser has asked me to go as a roadie.....had to think about it for a nano second......the band go every year to do work in the townships.....and its just fortuitous that the World Cup is being held there.
Commiserations to our friends north of the border who will not be going.

We're in Kalkan for the first two weeks. It's going to be great to be sharing it in one of the bars, rather than sitting at home feeling like a saddo, on my own! (OH doesn't much like football!!)
