Hi,

I thought it would be useful to compile some travel times from Kalkan, but have to confess I dont know the answers to alot of them so maybe we could build up a list of destinations

Kas
Fethiye
Dalaman
Olu Deniz
Marmaris
Dalyan
Gocek

Patara? Saklikent? Myra? I know these are quite close but may be useful for new visitors. Still thinking ;D

I think you need to have 2 sets of times for each destination - by private car and public transport which will be different and some will require changes!

OK - so I'll start - all by private car -
Kas - 20 minutes
Patara - 15 minutes
Saklikent - 1 hour 15 mins
Fethiye - 1 hour 15 mins (to centre not outskirts)
Olu deniz - 1 hour 15 mins
Gocek - 1.5 hours

Anyone feel free to disagree..!!

Umm...in my experience:
Kas                   25/30 minutes (slower car)
Patara               15 minutes
Fethiye (centre)  50/60 minutes (faster car)
Gocek                1 hr 15 minutes
Saklikent            1 hr 15 minutes (scenic mountain route) 45 minutes (direct main road)

Is Olu Deniz the same as Fethiye in times? I would have thought it was further?

Felicity was in a Ferrari between Fethiye and Olu Deniz !!!!!

In my ferrari - Olu Deniz is indeed further than Fethiye...but I travelled it twice as quickly..!!  LOL!

Truthfully - I think getting to Fethiye is quite quick - but getting through to the port is the slow bit whereas you sort of turn off to OD..but yes - I guess it does take longer...it was just off the top of my head....so not going to be 100% accurate...I am subject to a touch of alzheimers except when in my ferrari!!!!  :o :o
