It was when he set light to my ears I realsied that I really did trust this young guy. Hussein was 16 and had been "shaving" for three years. I'd never had one of these before, but determined to go back to the UK tonight with a face as smooth as a baby's bum, I went for one this morning just as the sun was breaking out across the village.
Hussein offered me some apple tea (or any other tea) as he lathered up my face. The Brush was soft and the water warm. I was a bit dubious when he gingerly opened the new blade, as I electric shave at home and was thinking "what if I got a nervous twitch?"
He shaved me with such precision, chaging direction with the contours of my chin. Then he did it again and I was getting into this. He bathed my face and rubbed some lemony stuff in and then got out what I thought was a fire eating kit. He set light to it and singed my ears and they went "fizz" confirming that I am as old as I really am and have to live with it.
He very gently finsished off any remaining stray hairs with a long thin pair of scissors. Sadly the nose needed attention too.
But then he applied some cream to his hands and I was suspended in another world. He massaged my face, working my forehead, and then my neck and shoulders and as it smoothed the tension away, I felt this tingle go down my back and into my legs, making the hairs stand on end and I shivered as I felt the tension go out through my toes.
He quietly said he had finished and I tried to raise my head from the neck rest but it didn't want to lift. I wanted to stay there forever. But my 10TL treat was over.
But I had 100TL in my pocket, he could do it again ten times if he liked?
I walked back up to the Nur Hotel 3 stone lighter and wanting to hang on to this wonderful new me for the rest of my final day in Kalkan.
cheers

I, too, am an electric shave person.
I have hitherto been uncomfortable with the idea of a naked steel blade sraping my neck. I have sensitive skin, you see. (Oh, okay, I admit it - I'm just a plain old wussy, lily-livered wimp).
But this report has now strengthened my resolve and when I'm there next week I will be a real man and get it done.
Thanks Steve!

PS sorry about the late goal on Saturday evening!

hafta sonu için bir şey efendim ???

It's rude to point, even with your finger!
Manyoo and Chelski next two up for my boys, so a reality check coming. If they are on 18 points after those two, I would expect that they will declare!

Thanks, itstime, that's my inappropriate phrase of the day sorted! Now just five new verbs and off for a beer!

enjoy :D but to be honest I only typed the phrase into the Kalkan news translator so blame them if it's way off the mark ::)
