Title: Tuesday Night at Omar's Kitchen
Post by: antler on August 19, 2009, 04:46:18 PM
Instead of heading down the hill, we opted for the 20 metre walk into Omar's next door.

Lovely service, and a very nice meal; Meze for the three of us, one liver, one chicken casserole, one lamb & vegetable casserole, a bottle of Angora Red, soft drinks and water. 93 TL (is that about £36?)

I love the way they refreshed the bread for the main course, even though it was still as fluffy as cotton wool!

Just before we paid the bill, a plate of chilled fresh fruit came - on the house - including apricots, grapes and honeydew melon.

We walked down the harbour in the relative cool of the evening and booked Mussakka for tonight. We've heard so much about this retsaurant, we just have to try it. The guest book in the Apartment is full of praise for it.

So it's Table 31 at 8.30pm!  Will let you know how it goes....!!

Serefe!!

Musakka is another great choice, Antler. In my opinion, of course. You'll also find it very reasonable price-wise....can't wait for the report :)
