Title: Smoking
Post by: MikeYork on August 19, 2009, 08:12:52 AM
Just booked to go to Kalkan - will be first trip to Turkey.  Didn't think of this at the time but....can you avoid smokers in restaurants - are some better at this than others?  My daughter has asthma and smoke gets more than in her eyes!

Thanks

Avoiding smokers here may be tough but smoking was banned in restaurants in mid July, although it is still allowed on most terraces.  Perhaps best to look out for the prominent no smoking signs displayed at most bars and eateries or ask the greeters if they have an area set aside.  Several of my favourites, including BarBQ and Doy Doy are quite open areas but have still banned smoking.  I hope your daughter copes well.

Kaya restaurant was the only place we had a meal in when we were in Kalkan recently that was no smoking - bottom of Kalamar road - great Gruper fish
