I have scoured the existing messages but cannot find anything recent on this subject.
Coming out tomorrow. What would people recommend as a good white wine to order in Kalkan restaurants. At home we like to drink Sauv Blanc and Pinot Grigio.
Sorry if I appear to be posting a lot of new topics at present but have never been to Turkey before and keen to learn as much as possible about the place and its culture. Have dusted down the suitcases and checked that passports are still OK. 21 hours to go!!! ;D

hello....we always drink angora white.......its fine...and in the beautiful surroundings it goes down really well
have a great time....this time next week we will be flying out
-
White Angora gets my vote too. Well chilled it's absolutely fine
-
Also, Cankaya is light and refreshing. As a pinot drinker at home, I really like this.
-
Angora for me :D
-
Have to agree Cankaya is refreshing and what is the other one- is it called Dikman thats ok too.
-
Hotspur - they are all lovely wines when it's 35 degrees plus! After that performance v Celtic last night, you might consider leaving your TH shirts at home! Next match on here on Wednesday at 1230 noon. Swan pub definitely showing it
-
Try Konak wine from Can Can on the Kalamar road - opposite Beyhan apartments - it is 4.99 TL a bottle and once its chilled its OK
They also have red - equally everyday drinkable wine :D
-
Is it strong KC99.......Can Can.....Kan Kan !
-
I find Angora to acidic, prefer Cankaya, Senfoni or Kavak.
-
KD it is 11% but at 5 TL a bottle you can afford to have two [at least ] ;D
-
How about the "new" one - Majestik...about 8YTL depending on supermarket and its a lovely Sauvignon Blanc....just makes a change
-
The Majestic red is also good, we found it better than Angora.
