Title: BarBQ (formerly Breeze)
Post by: SarahS on July 10, 2009, 09:12:09 PM
Has anyone tried the Bar B Q Restaurant? We ate there 3 times recently and was absolutely amazed at the quality of the food and the changes there. New chef and new menu.

It was Breeze last year. This year they have installed a clay oven in the middle of the restaurant where you can watch the chef make your pizza or pide from scratch. I thought it was a great idea and the prices are very reasonable. The menu is varied from steaks and stuffed squid (which was my favourite by far, excellent!) to pizzas. Definitely something for everyone and well worth the try. They get my vote  :)

Or the second smaller roundabout, depending on where you are coming from!  Never been there so not much help, but the food smells great and the staff always give a friendly nod or say good evening, so must try it soon - steak, draught beer and sport?  What,s not to like?

Is this the restaurant that fronts onto the roundabout and is at street level ? We always walk past this and Omar''''s Kitchen despite him always waving and saying hello. I think we have fallen in to the mindset of heading straight into the town centre but will now try some of these on our next trip as the reviews are really positive

Had an excellent meal there last week and was very pleasantly surprised with the bill. Extremely reasonable for wonderful food and friendly service. They were in the process of starting a "happy 2 hours" with all drinks at much reduced cost.

Ate a few times in BarBQ and couldn't fault the food and it was great to be able to watch the chefs cooking while you waited for your meal. You realise how hard working and talented these guys are. The prices were reasonable for food and drink. Got to know the owners Ekran and especially his English wife Georgina, great friendly people. Used to call in for a chat and a cold drink if passing during the day, Georgina always made time to sit down and have a drink with us and a good old chin wag. Will definitely be going back there when we return in August!
