We have been wandering about trying different restaurants for the past 8 days based on recommendations. We tried the Seaport based on the friendliness of the staff and the freshness of the fish (living in Brittany for part of the year we know about fresh fish!) We were not disappointed. The food is excellent, the service good and the price very reasonable. It also has a better view than all of the other ''sea front'' restaurants.
It is run by four brothers who only took it over 52 days ago and who are trying to make it a success and want to be open all year round. They haven''t got it all right yet but are keen to have feedback so why not give it a go, help them get off the ground and have a great meal at the same time! You don''t have to eat fish!

Hi Adrian,
Welcome to EK - Where abouts is the Seaport restaurant?
-
Seaport has taken over the Kebab House which is next to the Kleo bar on the harbour road. They have put a lot more tables on the side of the road next to the water and have improved the table settings and we think the location is better than most of the harbour restaurants.
We ate there last week and it was reasonably priced for the harbour, the service was excellent and the food was quite good, although we thought the portion size of the main courses was small by Kalkan standards.

Smaller portions may be a good thing! Ok I know, my fault for having free olives / bread, then a starter, then a main and sometimes even a dessert at many restaurants! If Ryanair flew to Kalkan they would be charging me excess-bellyage! ;D

I agree with you Jon. I still couldn''t manage a dessert, even with the smaller portions. I just mentioned it as those who like a massive plateful might be dissapointed.
