Barcelona were very good last night. How many times have we seen Man U passed off the park in the last few seasons. I can''t remember. Messi is a special player and he''s only 21. I wanted United to win being a supporter of English teams, but you have to admire the technical excellence of Barca.

I think last night proved even with all that world class talent on the pitch for Untd if it doesn''t click on the night things go pear shaped

Iniesta was the big difference between the two teams...he kept the ball and used it well as opposed to Carrick who was hurried and wasted a lot of ball,Barca played him just right by not allowing him time..

I was probably the only LFC supporter cheering for Man Utd, but I do believe in supporting British teams in Europe (and north west teams if it''s an all England final, like last year)
Xavi was awesome too. The fact that Iniesta and Xavi are the creative core of their national side, makes you think Spain may add World Cup to European next year :(
What a fantastic season for Pep Guardiola - he deserves great credit. For me, United looked lethargic and strangely not up for it..I thought the heat was a factor, but Fergie dismissesd that in his post match interview. I thought he and the team were very dignified in defeat....take note Chelsea >:D

some of those tackles later in the game from Mr Scholes and Ronaldo didn''t look very dignified!! :o :o

They were outclassed again, not the first time this season they were humbled by a better side.
Man U realise they were lucky to be in the final in the first place, avoiding the three better teams in the quarter finals, who had to slug it out, yelllow cards and injuries, leaving an understrength team to face cosy-route Man U with a full squad and no real fight to get there, in the final.
Beaten by an understrength Barca team, what was ''Sir'' Alex doing?

??? Pure and simple they got beaten by a better team who did their home work and did the biz, sounds like a bit of envy belinda, which team do you support Belinda ? and how did they do this season ?

                                                  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Actually I like man U.
It''s nice to be honest once in a while and appreciate how the wind has blown favourably for us in the past.
If you remember the 1999 final, we were completely outplayed by Bayern Munich, until those 2 unbelievable goals in injury time. And if you don''t think John Terry slipping as he took the penalty which would have won the European cup for Chelsea against us isn''t a stroke of good fortune, well.
We should be winning these games outright, not relying on others to cok up and hand it to us!
And that''s what Barca did, they won the game, under strength and underdogs
I''d like to see us up there with the greats of Europe, but we ain''t there yet.
We only won the league because of liverpool''s poor performances against weaker sides, you have to admit, they knocked us into a cocked hat this season when they played us.

True Belinda, but isnt that what football is all about, good games, bad games, mistakes, luck, winning, losing, ect,
if every team made no mistakes and won every game no team would win anything, they would all be the same and it would be boring, but I dont think Barca could be classed as under strength and certainly not under dogs, not with their stats this season(imho)  :)

It was only the British press that had them as under dogs...the now Spanish triple winners are hardly underdog material :o
