do places Kalkan charge commision when changing sterling into TL? (cash or travellers cheques)

Dont about travellers cheques coz I never take them - but no commision taken on cash..!!   :)

Always change £''s in Kalkan from the PTT or the banks or ATM''s - you always seem to get a better rate
Usually shops / restaurants are not a good bet

zero rate - I should think as we don''t have such legal tender as pound notes anymore...  ;D ;D ;D >:D :-*

we do ;D not legal in England but still happily accepted in Scotland.

Sorry didn''t think I quoted denomination of pound notes - are five, ten or twenty pound notes ok!!

Hi all. I went to Thomas cook today and got 2.27 lira to the pound. Does anyone know what the rate is in Kalkan at the moment to exchange stirling

You invariably get a better rate in Turkey than the UK.
Just take enough Lira to cover your first day and then change your money in Kalkan
