If you have TurkTelekom ADSL, you can listen to and download for free thousands of songs, both Turkish and English pop, by registering your ADSL details on this site:

http://www.ttnetmuzik.com.tr

You will need your ADSL contract number (Hizmet No - on the bill), the telephone number that ADSL is connected to (242844xxxx) and your email address.

You must use the Internet Explorer browser to accept the music license that will be installed on your computer. After that you can download FREE between 10 - 300 songs / month, depending on the speed of your ADSL contract (meaning how much you pay monthly).  You can download twice as many foreign music files (inc Beethoven) than Turkish songs. There is a wonderful collection to choose from.

what a very useful tip. We have now registered and as you say, the choice of music is great.

I can see us spending the next week downloading as there is such choice.
