Hi,
Thought It would be nice to create a thread about unmissable things in Kalkan and the surrounding areas - If a first time visitor to Kalkan asked you what one trip, excursion or experience they shouldn''t miss what would you suggest and why?
Could create a really good thread to "sticky" to help first time visitors decide where to explore.

A full day trip to Kekova. So many wonderful highlights. Swimming in the clear blue water, the boat being visited by the most innovative "ice cream salesman ever" (those who''ve been will know what I mean) lunch at the restaurant overloking the little harbour, I''m not a vegetarian but if anything could persuade me to be so it would have to be the delicious fresh food served here, a walk up to the cafe in Simena for even more ice cream but this time simply delicious home made fruit ice cream. Total relaxation in beautiful surroundings and then home to Kalkan in the evening with the promise of another magical night :-)

I''m with Itstime. Kekova boat trip. I''m not a swimmer so don''t get in the sea (which looks really inviting!) but it''s such a relaxing day I''m happy to watch the world go by. The bufet lunch at Ucagiz and the homemade ice cream at Simena are a big plus. :)
Arycanda is also a great day out, with a stop in Elmali for lunch. If you like looking around ancient cities this is a fantastic place on a large scale with loads to see.
