Hi
How many of you have tried to go to work today and have turned back? What will you do with your day at home?
I think we will build some of the kitchen units we picked up in the B and Q sale!

Wish I could be off work today too! I''m in Wirral and we''ve not got much at all - about an inch - but we never get much as we''re a peninsula.
Have fun whatever you do today!

Still snowing here in North Surrey. Heaviest snow fall in the 12 years we have been here with 6-8inches over night. OH abandoned any hope of getting to work after 2 trips to station looking for trains. Likewise children''s school closed for day.
Can''t wait to see the Kalkan sunshine in April and again in August.

Snowing heavily here in North Bucks and more forecast!! As I work from home there is no excuse for me NOT to do any today. So I am sitting at my desk looking out at a very pretty garden, itching to go out and make a snowman................maybe later :D

White out here on the south coast......tried going out gave up and decided to stay at home.....only major problem the DVD Mama Mia is stuck in the system so that''s all I can watch...... :( :( :(

About 8 inches in Shepperton overnight, I''m the only one at work out of my lot. Looks like the pub lunchtime and then home.

Living on a hill in Marlow is wonderful in the summer - and when other people are getting flooded, we are ok.. however, that''s not the case when it snows!
Up at 6.20 as usual this morning; then outside to clear 6-8 inches of snow off the cars, then witnessed three of our neighbours attempting to negotiate the hill in their cars, only to end up together in a twisted mass of metal halfway down... err, maybe not then. :o
Working from home has never been so convenient! Good old broadband.

Living the the wilds of North Wales and fairly high up we get snow when no-one else does. So today was not hugely different to a lot of days during the Winter months - although there was a lot more snow than usual - watch out, Turkeyfan it''s coming your way. As we have our well-used procedures for getting out - involving the snow paddles and neighbour''s landrovers, there''s no excuse for me not to get over to work in Liverpool today, or any other day when it snows...sadly! It would have been nice to suggle up on the sofa with a roaring fire and get on with my work, remotely....not to be :( :(

Here in Grenada WI, weather a little overcast, slight wind sunny & warm, so have no problems really, however may get them in the middle of week when returning to UK, or may have to stay !!! Am I gloating - yes I am.
Anyway take care everyone who is affected in the UK.

Just lit the fire. We live just off the north wales coast so we don''t get the snow that most of you are getting but its bleak just now, there are snow flurries and we are dreaming of summer. Forcast is much the same for the next couple of days and I have to drive up to the Wirrel tomorrow. Wish I was in Kalkan with a beer!

Well we had 6-8 inches yesterday - but no more overnight - so WHY is the school closed today...???? ??? ???
I still have to go to work as the roads are no worse than yesterday.. >:D >:D >:D

Hi
Snowing here still, snow showers forecast for today. Therefore I am not going to work again. Luckily I have some more kitchen units to make!

There''s very little snow in Liverpool - just pockets. I come in from Wales with Uggs, thermals, two coats and everyone looks at me like I''m exaggerting how cold it is....I say, take a look at my car, mate - it took me 2 hours to get in (not counting the hour to clear the path and a car run in the road...) and it''s still covered in snow....it''s that thick and compacted even the motorway didn''t shift it!!! ???
It''s like a different world...and I need to log on for my fix of Kalkan summer...just the logo makes me relaxed :)...roll on June 26th !!
My BH is in Poland at the moment where it''s -25c.....now that''s cold!!
-
Whos uggs? :D

...my sheepskin friends, BL ;D ;D
-
Hooooraaay!!...all snow has gone here on the south coast...blue skies but cold winds...schools open ,roads back to normal congestion...and a bin lorry was spotted earlier!!! ;D
-
Fantastic, perhaps we can now watch the News and hear about what is going on nationally and globally rather than an extended regional weather forecast!!!! ;D
-
Sorry Joan thick snow again in the midlands today, no roads gritted near me as council run out of grit ::) ::) but it does mean I can''t get to work again. ;D ;D
