I have created a map of 68 (so far) Kalkan restaurants and cafes. It prints to a single full A4 page. I did it for my own use, but I''''m sure it would be of interest to many people here.

Moved to maps & guides section - thankyou

Fantastic map John - moving it to the main website now :)
-
Fab map John - well done! :D That will be a really useful tool for everybody! :D
However you could find yourself with a full time job - updating name changes and openings/closures with the amount of movement that there is... ;D :o
-
John, that''s really good and very useful - you are clever ;D
-
Well done John, it must of taken you ages to compile, your a star !
Regards KD.

This is great. I know a number of people have asked for something similar in the past and it will be great to give guests. I think Felecity is right though, I''ve already heard of a number of places changing hands / names, but I suppose now you''ve done the bulk of the work it should be mroe straightforward.
Thanks for all your hard work BJ

John
Top work. This will be one of the first documents we leave for friends visiting our place next year.
Any chance of adding Cinar and the Swan, both between the Tesko roundabout and Omar''s Kitchen, to the top left of your map?
-
And maybe an arrow pointing down the "Kalamar Rd" saying...."Cafe Vita" The young couple deserve all the help we can give them, they have worked so hard to get their business up and running.....and we like it ! !
Regards KD.

What a great effort.
It would be nice to add the Catti Restaurant on the way up to the Kas road and the Restaurant at the top of the same road (but can''t remember the name).
It would also be good to include the Ali Baba next to the Kaya.

Great work John,Ive found places I never could find or didnt know existed.
wouldnt it be a lot easier if apt/villa owners who would leave copies for friends/guests to add/amend the
maps themselves instead of keep having to change the original map all the time,as everyone knows things
are changing in kalkan all the time and it could end up a full time job, just a suggestion.
great work, its what makes EK what it is !
Neil. :)

An excellent idea, well executed. Great work , John. we always leave our apartment guests a list of favourite restaurants (which we update regularly!) but then we get the inevitable requests for directions... this solves the problem!!
Thanks a lot for sharing the product all your effort. ;D
-
Help.I cant find the maps & guide section? ???
-
go back to the main EK.header page (blue one)left hand column..11 down ;)
-
Thanks Blue lizard, never go to that page.

The restaurant map is great. Made me realise just how many restaurants I have yet to visit!
-
Thanks for all the nice comments.
I''m happy to maintain the map, but if anyone wants the original to do their own thing with, they''re most welcome. The map was created using Open Office Draw (a free download). It''s 37k so could easily be sent as an email attachment.
EniÅŸte - please tell me which way round Cinar and the Swan are (ie which is nearer the roundabout) and I''ll add them.
Kalkan regular - please give me an approx grid ref for Catti so it can be added
-
Brilliant map, thank you. The restaurant at the top of the road at the junction with the Kas road is Luca''s. Does anyone know if it''s open during the winter please?
-
Hi Jinfizz, Luca,s did not appear to be open last week
-
Hi John - the Swan is just before Omars Kitchen and the Cinar bar is between the Swan Omars kitchen on the main road leading up to the bus station/Thursday market.
Cheers!
-
So - on your map A14 - between OM and DR on the same side as OM...!!
Cheers!
-
Catti is at H10, on the left of the road as you drive up from the roundabout
