The season''s just finished in Kalkan and althought alot of this forum''s members will be going over the winter, not all of us will and I''m suffering from Kalkan blues! :(
So I thought we could all cheer each other up and share our favourite holiday moments from this season.
Mine has to be dancing the night away with my family and friends (turkish and english!) and being able to forget about the dreary weather at home and some of the miserable people!
Kalkan gave me some very happy memories this year and I would love to hear yours :)

Simple thiings like waking up everyday to brilliant sunshine, going to the shop for fresh bread and everybody on the way saying hello and smiling!!and who can forget when we were doing YMCA in the Moonlight with the little old nutman!! (lovely man) ;D

...well this season''s highlight has to be the two occassions when the Turkish football team scored against the odds to take them through to the next round of the Euros...the atmosphere in Moonlight was fantastic..there were tears, fireworks, chaos...moped parades and a flag waving frenzy...much alcohol was consumed..and later me and my "newbestfriends" danced with Gurhan...although he was still frowning whilst throwing his shapes on the dancefloor ;D ;D
The views, the sun, the food, the friendliness will always be there...those nights were special.

Ours was the wonderful trip with M''n''M and the walking cub to Kekova. Good weather, good company, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

I agree Joan it was a fabulous day.

Our highlight of the season: meeting Doug and Steph, a lovely American couple, who turned out to be US soldiers serving in Baghdad (in married quarters) on R&R in Kalkan of all places!

Have to agree with Kalkan4Eva, when Turkey won those matches the atmosphere was fantastic. Also agree with BL. Waking up to beautiful sunshine everyday, smiling happy people and genuine warm friendly "Hello''s and welcome back". I wish I was there now!

One of mine would have to be meeting everyone at the Enjoy Kalkan 70''s meet up in Kleo Bar! It was a great night and brings a smile to my face when I think about it, from Felicity dancing in her 70''s gear to the moment when everyone helped to put the stranded turtle back into the sea. Ahhhh roll on next year :)

Funniest moment was a certain person''s distress at the lack of tonic :D :D :D (you know who you are, JOAN!).
Highlight - being there. Can''t give any one moment or local person more than the other.

Oh, I don''t know Sally.
I thought it was very touching watching a devoted son bringing his mum a bag of goodies, only for him to confess it was not a bottle of gin for you, but his smalls for you to wash.
Now that was funny. ;D >:D

Ah, but did she boil them in a saucepan?

NO
He did his own washing (as he has done since age of 12). I''''m a hard, tuff mum!
