Title: Exchange Rate Friday 17th Oct 08
Post by: kalkan wife on October 17, 2008, 09:40:15 AM
For those thinking about exchanging pounds stirling to lira, this might be the time to do it. Local banks are offering between 2.52 and 2.58 depending on how much you are changing. This is by far the highest rate for months.

3 hours since your post and it''s still rising - 2.62 on Forex. Not quite the 2.8 we got this time last year though. May be worth holding out a little longer but, as many have discovered recently, forex, as well as the stockmarket, is always a gamble.

Are you getting that rate in Kalkan or here at a UK Turkish bank?
