where''s the sun gone? Just black clouds

Have been on the beach all day today in sunny and beautiful Cornwall - have to say, if I could guarantee this weather, I wouldn''t need to go to Kalkan at all! But unfortunately I can''t guarantee ANY good weather in Cornwall (rained 41 out of 42 days this summer apparently!), which is why I spent 6 weeks in Kalkan! However, I''m off to gorgeous St Ives for Sunday lunch at the Porthminster Beach Cafe in the sun tomorrow, which is the closest I can get to Paradise on Earth - I just wish the Telegraph would stop telling everyone about it!!!

It''s nearly lunchtime and the sun has gone forever
and it''s starting to rain again!!
Seriously I''m so cold I''ve had to put a shirt on and
last night I even had to put a cover over me in bed

This place is not for the faint-hearted, now that winter is striking viciously down upon us

Post by: Mrs Enjoy Kalkan on September 21, 2008, 10:33:56 AM: We have just got back from Kalkan and had a two hour delay at Dalaman early this morning due to the thunder storms as it wasn''t safe to take off. It was the worst storm we have ever seen just like a tropical storm or monsoon- thunder, lightening and torrential rain. The noise of the thunder sounded like a bomb had gone off and the rain was coming through the roof of the airport. I felt sorry if anyone was arriving to that weather they will have got quite a shock ! Arrived back in Manchester to beautiful sunshine :o.

Post by: Hoca on October 07, 2008, 10:53:40 AM: sunny, go to the BBC web site click weather type in Turkey select Fetiye and Set it as the default city from there you can get the 5 day forecast and satellite predictions for the region. There is no weather station in Kalkan unless it is hidden some where.
