Hi,
I would like to announce with immediate effect the introduction of a mutual member respect policy (MMR) which shall tie in with the EnjoyKalkan moderation policy and registration agreement.
Under the new MMR policy it is important that members respect the views and opinions of all members even if they conflict with their own. Due to the nature of an online forum it is often easy to forget there is a person and a personality behind the pseudonym. Thus all posts should be checked for courtesy and relevance prior to posting.
EnjoyKalkans moderation policy allows members to have freedom of speech and does not believe in solving problems by removing a post or person from the discussion. However if a post or topic is considered malicious, rude or designed to stir conflict the post shall be removed and the member issued a warning under the MMR policy.
Topics posted in good faith shall not be removed under the MMR policy as this would conflict directly with the freedom of speech policy.
If a warning is to be issued under the MMR policy the history of the forum member shall be taken into account. If the history of the account shows a long line of negativity with little positive input the forum suspension period shall be longer than that of a member who has made significant contributions.
The MMR has been drawn up to ensure the membership of the forum does not decline and new members are able to feel respected and valued at the point of joining.
