Although i am a lover of everything Turkish, on occasions my taste buds long for a great British fried breakfast . I don''t usually go for this when at home as the quack has advised against it. (he mentioned something to do with "cholesterol, overweight, potential heart attack..") but when i am on holiday for 2 weeks I tend to "forget".
So can anyone recommend a good place to get the full works fry up? (heaven forbid) >:D
Thanks BF

I too love a full English occasionally and for us it is a nice change from making breakfast everyday at wherever it is we are staying or from having a traditional Turkish breakfast [although this is still my favourite]. In June we stayed at a house in the village so it was very easy to nip out for Breakfast. We found that Merkez does a great "fry up". Eggs, bacon [the real thing], mushrooms beans, toast etc....yum.

omars does an english, but it''s healthier because along with the fried stuff you get water melon ;)

Just back and visited friends who were staying in Kisla. They took us to the Kulahana Hotel. Our sons had the best ever English Breakfast there. The other snacks were great too. Nice view here and they will let you use the sun beds down at the sea.

If you want a wonderful harbour view to go with your full English and distract you from your cholesterol count,, try Jasmine Garden, on the way to the lighthouse cafe at the end of the harbour. Great food, cooked to order and very reasonably priced. They do of course offer a full range of Turkish alternatives, including the best menemen in Kalkan.
Having just returned from the UK with a suitcase packed with bacon and sausages, I have every sympathy for the occasional desire for a few crispy rashers. Sometimes the thought of a bacon sandwich is far more desirable than ANY of the delectable dishes on offer in Kalkan''s restaurants.
Happy eating.
