I''ve just found a few million Lira of old money in a drawer, does anybody know if you are able to change this is Turkey or is it now usless?
-
I think you can only change them at the Central Turkish Bank but perhaps someone else maybe able to advise whether any of the other banks will change them.
-
Unless it''s lots and lots and lots of billions of old Lira I would suggest that you frame it as a keepsake ::)

The Zirat bank in Fethiye will change old money until 2010. But if you only have a few notes, it is hardly worth the journey. You can give the old notes to Linda at Abi Travel, she changes old notes when she has collected a sufficient sum and the money is then used to help fund the street animal neutering programme.
It''s a very good cause and helps to control the numbers of homeless dogs and cats.

Hi
I think the best option will be for me to spend all of my old new notes in Kalkan this year, so when I next come out I can get some new new notes. As I have a few old old notes, I will give them to Linda.
Problem solved?
