Post by: Adrian on June 20, 2008, 12:25:21 PM
Seeing Wendy''s post reminded me that I hadn''t posted a link to our May holiday pics - take a look at http://www.flickr.com/photos/lemmingjuice67/sets/72157605388244192/  :)

You''ve got some stunning shots there Adrian. Where was that amphitheatre? And that town that wasn''t Kalkan? I recognised Kas in some. Thanks for sharing them. Nice to see son of hissing sid in there! ;D

The amphitheatre is at Patara and the non-Kalkan town pics are Kas - did you click on the pics?  This shows them bigger & you can see the titles too  :)

There is a slideshow thingy too see http://www.flickr.com/photos/lemmingjuice67/sets/72157605388244192/show/  if you click on one of the images it will start to display the title too.

Hi Adrian,

The photos are really good, except for that spider. I suppose that the bright colour means you won''t miss it, but I''d rather not come across it at all!

Have you ever seen one of those before? Hopefully a rare catch.

Just reminds me how lovely the weather was when we were all there. Better than the rain today. Just driven back from Durham and could hardly see the car in front on the M62.

Hope you''re both well

Bev

Hi Bev,

Thanks to the spider forum at Insect Hobbyist ( forums.insecthobbyist.com/forum.php?catid=17 ) I have an ID for this colourful beastie! It is a Ladybird Spider (specifically either Eresus cinnaberinus or Eresus sandaliatus). Pretty rare everywhere it turns out and on many countries endangered species list. It''s not a dangerous one  ;D
