Title: Small article about Kalkan in Company magazine
Post by: duckling on June 02, 2008, 09:31:26 PM
Just opened Company magazine and found Kalkan recommended in their travel article "Cheap and Chic" along with Marrakech and some seaside resort in Bulgaria!!

Article says:
"Kalkan bay in Turkey is one of Company''s favourite hot spots. Kalkan is the local town nestled on the seafront against the backdrop of the Taurus Mountains. Beautiful. With its cobbled streets, rooftop restaurants and buzzy cafes, you''ll fall in love with its old-world charm.
Beer: £1.80
Cocktail: £3.50
Meal for two: £20"

It then goes on to recommend a villa, and theres a prety picture of the harbour and a beach (which isn''t Kalkan town beach or Patara I don''t think so don''t know where that is  ???).

Just got me really excited, can''t wait to go now!! Only 3 weeks for me  ;D

I read the article as well and my first though was .... no, don''t let anyone else in on the secret.

I was a bit concerned that they were trying to sell Kalkan as a cheap and cheerful holiday, something like Benidorm (not that I have anything against Benidorm) and we would have an influx of undesirables.....
