We are going to kalkan at the end of June and staying in a Villa. We do not arrive at the airport until 6.30pm, then travelling to the Villa im guessing it will be fairly late by the time we dump our cases & head out for something to eat. What time are the supermarkets etc open till, want to make sure we get some supplies ready for the next day

You don''t say how you are getting to the villa to where you are staying.What about a short detour down to the supermarkets before going to the villa. Some villa owners will leave a welcome pack of essentials to do you until the next day. Hope you have a good holiday. We will be out at the same time.

there are shops that stay open 24/7 in the summer and most open till 11.30pmish the post office till midnight so i wouldn''t worry to much

Bennyboo I think it would be worth checking with the villa owners, as it is very rare for there not to be some kind of welcome pack including water, bread, butter, tea, coffee, milk etc to keep you going for your first night/morning. However, delay permitting, you will easily be in Kalkan in time to visit a supermarket if you wanted to.

Many thanks for the replies !! Looks like we wont have to worry about being able to get food / drink etc. There is a welcome pack at the villa, obviously with just the basics, we like to get the shopping done out of the way soon as we arrive then we can just concentrate on slobbing & relaxing !! My little boy is 6 & a bit of a picky eater so i wanted to make sure i have something in to feed him with !!

and kebabs at the harbour.....not advertising, honestly. We are due to arrive in Kalkan at a similar time on 6th June and my BH wants to go straight to the new kebab restaurant at the harbour :laugh: Then we''ll do a "big shop" the next morning.

Had a chicken donna every lunch last week from the "burger bar" tasty,quick and very cheap, got me going again after a night on the "slopes" :o >:D Neil .
