I would imagine it depends on which spirit and what brand. Can you tell us what you are interested in and we maybe able to give you a better response.  :D

Hi,
I fly out from either Gatwick or Heathrow. They are both cheaper than Dalaman who tend to price everthing in TYL or Euros.  :)

When we have flown from Manchester we have found the spirits to be very competitively priced.
Last year in Manchester and East Midlands it was two one litre bottles of Bombay Sapphire for £20!  :D
This offer also applied to many other spirits.  ;D

yes indeed Homer..a thread about booze and limes is bait to the Lizard!!the only advantage with buying at Dalaman is you don''t have to cart it around,we normally pop in to duty free while the crush to get luggage is going on...our cases are normally the last 2 going round and the transfer driver is asleep in a deck chair!!Pity were not there when you are,we could have had a few!!! ;)

BS was about the same price at Dalaman last year, I recall, along with a lot of other spirits. We bought two bottles going out from Manchester and two bottles coming back from Dalaman. If I tell you that me and my BH had drunk our way through both bottles during our stay in Kalkan then I think I''d be ok on the duty free side of things, but you may want PM me with details of AA meetings in UK.... ;) However, BH doesn''t like gin... :o :o. Sooooh, I may or may not have emptied the the gin I had left into plastic water bottles to take back in my case...who knows?? If I tell you I may have to kill you ;D

Now then, Blue Lizard...the lime tree?????? Fidimax, you know where there are lime trees on the Kalamar Road don''t you....? let me know if you do or if they are lemons, not ready for picking before I stake it out for the entire holiday.....I''ll be packing a couple of limes from Sainsbury''s just to be on the safe side.

Incidentally does anyone know where I can buy slimline tonic??? I can only ever find the full-fat version in Turkey or do I need to start another thread for this???

Ooooh, kalkan4eva, aren''t those little plastic bottles handy?!?  ;)
Now, a nice BS and full fat tonic is my idea of heaven, so i can''t help with the slimline version i''m afraid...i say forget the calories and go for the taste!  :D

Hi Mrs B,

I actually prefer the taste of the diet version...I find the full fat too sweet :P I think it''s years of drinking the low cal options of everything that has damaged my tastebuds. Full fat coke tastes like treacle to me  >:D

I will drink the full-on tonic whilst in Kalkan, because I can''t bear anything but tonic in my BS...because the diet version just doesn''t feature anywhere - not even in Migros in Fethiye which sells just about everything (except limes and slimline tonic...of course)

I''m not worried about calories in Kalkan because the combination of hills, heat and walking works its magic.
Bring on the Sofra chocolate cake, I say  ;D ;D
