Hi Does anyone know whether the new medical centre ( or any of the clinics ) has the facilities to deal with optical problems???
We are due to fly out on Monday and OH has developed a problem with one of his eyes which may need to be monitored while we are there.
Would be really grateful for any advice on this. May have to cancel if things don''t improve.

When you say ''to deal with optical problems'' do you mean some sort of surgical intervention? The new medical centre could certainly monitor a diagnosed problem and would be able to take preventative/remedial action but for anything more serious they would immediately refer the patient to the dept of opthalmology at one of the two private hospitals in Fethiye

Thanks very much for replying. No surgery involved. Just wanted some reassurance that if we are given the ok to go next week there would be some back up should we need it. Going to ''think positive'' and hope to be in Kalkan soon.
