Title: annual property tax
Post by: fabio on April 24, 2008, 12:27:04 PM
Hi all,

I am sure that some of you can give me a good advice on this. I need to pay my property tax, which as you may know is due on may. I will only be in Kalkan next July, is there anyway that I can pay before from England?

If not what is it going to hapend?

I thank you all in advance.

regards

Fabio

Hi Fabio
Leave some money with a friend in Kalkan with your abone [customer number] who would pay it
Or pay it in July and incur a small fine
Don''t think the Belediye will throw you out as loads of people don''t seem to realise that anything is due and / or sit patiently waiting for the bill that never arrives  ;)

Perhaps this thread would be more useful in the Owners Lounge?

We didn''t pay ours for the first year through ignorance that it existed. We went last year and paid both years. We incurred a very small fine for paying late but is was only a few pounds.
You go to the town hall near the market and if you go in the main entrance on the side the office you need is on the left. They were very helpful, if I remember rightly we left our documents so we could be registered and then went back the next day to pay.

We left money out there in November, along with our Tapu but nothing seems to have been done.  OH is out there at the moment but hasn''t had much luck with it.  It will be annoying if we can''t do it until June, thus incurring a "small fine", especially as we actually left money out there before Christmas.
