Title: Dalaman new international terminal
Post by: Lucy Lou on July 24, 2018, 01:38:51 PM
Just out of curiosity, has efficiency improved any since the 'soft' opening ?

I don't come again till late September so hope it will have returned to normal running, which to be fair I find is generally quite good.

We used Dalaman last Thursday afternoon. Dreading it after hearing awful stories & one of us using 'special assistance' we were pleasantly surprised at how well it all went. No huge ques outside the doors, quick through first security station. It just seemed to be lacking in staff in some areas.
Maybe we were just fortunate,  our worst part was the flight was delayed an hour then due to an emergency at Gatwick we were at the very last leg of our arrival diverted to Birmingham along with 4 other flights. Total & utter chaos. To get us back to Gatwick local taxis were used, as at 3 am no one could organise coaches or hotels. M40 was very busy as one taxi after the other were heading for Gatwick.
