So, my team are in the cup final on the day we arrive in Kalkan!
Anyone have any recommendations on a good bar where I could see the game?
I remember watching some football there 2 or 3 years ago but can't remember what the place was called. I think they had 2 screens showing different games and the TV's were outside on the other side of the pathway from the bar. As far as I know it's the only place I've seen football on TV during my 2 previous visits.
Thanks!

Sounds like you watched it at the Yali Bar... it is still there ...usually Bezirgan opposite the taxi rank is showing footy (cosy with nice crowd some ex pats) ..Moonlight Bar normally shows footy but it can get busy.... you wont be short of places too watch ;)

Thanks Blue Lizard.
Bezirgan doesn't sound familiar but I do know where you mean as we've used taxis from the rank to get us back up the hillside to where we stay, the walk back up is quite different to the walk down!
Moonlight bar sounds familiar but I can't place it.

Lime may well be an option for you, this year they have more screens & seem to be showing matches.

I'm sure if you wander into town in good time, you will find somewhere showing it - most places have big TV's these days and the FA Cup final is sure to attract business.

Thanks everyone.
Thought I might struggle to find a good place to watch but sounds like it's not a problem.
Just need Chelsea to win now to kick off our holiday in style!

Dave, as a red I don't think I should tell you the name of the bar. But I will be watching United hopefully win the cup sat at the Shade Lounge with a cold efes.

Friendly rivalry makes for a better atmosphere! I don't know the Shade Lounge either!

Dave1966, the Shade Lounge is down the hill from the taxi rank past moonlight bar.
They use the wall opposite the bar for their TV picture so could be the one you remember. Chelsea always seem to have the upper hand against the reds.
So yes friendly rivalry works well.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the cup final at the Moonlight Bar! Sadly back home and at work now!

I will be in Kalkan for Englands first 2 games of World Cup...I have several watering holes depending on how busy places get
Essential are 1) Ease of getting a beer 2) swift access to toilets 3) Good view of screen without a big wobbly head in front of me...4) added bonus of crisps/nuts would be nice but not a deal breaker...
England/Birmingham City shirt ironed ...I know England will bugger things up as usual but hey ho go with the flow you gotta be in it to win it ::) :P

I'll keep my beady eye out for you BL....and my big wobbly head out of your view ;D ;D
