Title: Taxi Prices

Hi,

I appreciate it's quite early in the season but can anyone advise on taxi fares, say from the main taxi rank to the Migros area?

About £1.00. We were in Kalkan April this year and harbour to above D400 was 10tl.

Probably more like £1.50, think the starting price is about 4 lira plus your distance charge. Not a lot really, same price as last year.

We were getting out near Bim supermarket last year just up past Migros the fare was 8 TL sometimes 10.... well worth the cost of a drink to get home quick apparently still the same

From the main taxi rank the starting price on the meter is approx 4TL up to say Migros should be approx 8tl depending on the route etc.

Just been announced on KTLN taxi prices are going up by 12.5%......still reasonable ;)

One reason given is increased fuel costs . But if some of the taxis that race about drove slower especially on the Kalamar road they would drastically reduce the fuel they use .

Think that goes for the majority of drivers here be it a car, moped, or motor cycle etc.
Still the increase just means tips will be lower or no tips at all.
