As the new season is just around the corner, time to start our 2017 countdowns.
When are you in Kalkan this year?
I'll kick it off - 67 days for us. Just over 10 weeks to wait ;D
Sadly just the one visit this year but its for 24 days, so can't complain. Excited muchly!

63 days 20 hrs 15 mins at time of posting! nice day time flights this year too saves arriving at silly o' clock ;)

5 days to Dalaman, 7 days to Kalkan...just sayin' ;) ;D

PAH! if your spending 2 days at Dalaman Airport then I aint jealous!...just sayin >:D :P

Our activity for 2 days will shortly be revealed and I hope to goodness they are not spent at Dalaman airport! 8) 8)

117 days for us! OMG that sounds so far away, but meanwhile back in not so sunny Dorset, we await your holiday blog Lizzie, so get on it as soon as you can please!!!! :D :D :D :D :D x

Only 25 days until the first visit :D and then 172 days until the 2nd. Can't wait!
I am pleasantly surprised how quickly time has gone since October. I was dreading the winter months without Kalkan, but it's flown by ;D

27 days for our first this year then again in August.

Wednesday, for 3 weeks. Our flight is fully booked, which is a good sign.
Then 21st May. No return flights booked for that trip yet.

68 days, including today but not including flight day. Looks like we may be there the same time as you Blue Lizard. Then flights booked again for September. Haven't got the cases out yet! They do come out well in advance though.....

A mere 29 days...that's less than a month!
Cases came down from the loft last weekend and as usual I have been surprised by the dying days of the summer sales items I bought last year....but have no recollection of buying :o
This weekend's job is to weed out the items no longer fit for purpose and a quick inventory of those items I intend to take. This is swiftly followed by what items BH doesnt need to take to make more room for mine ;D ;D
These weeks are the best...the build up, the excitement, the checking of the weather forecast on multiple websites until I get one I like *sigh*
Best start the diet....

When I started this thread it was 67 days to K Day...now its only 15 ;D ;D
About 75% packed, just last minute consumables (dont judge me...) and things I will be still using until we go.
Looks like we might have Kalkan to ourselves BL and keith....?

I'm glad that there are people going soon and indeed there at the moment. I had a look at the Korsan webcam earlier and the Fish Terrace and the Korsan were both empty.....I don't think I've ever seen that before!

It is very quiet at the moment. Never been at this time so not sure if it's quieter than usual. Hopefully by the time I come back next month it will be busier. It must be so difficult for all the businesses.

Kalkan is looking beautiful and better than it has done for many years! April and May are always variable months for visitors depending on when Easter falls/owners come/Turkish hols etc etc.No quieter than last year but no more people either.
Have met a number of "first time to Kalkan" visitors and for the majority of those its also first time to Turkey.They have all loved it! Most come by recommendation, so we have to keep promoting Kalkan and correcting many peoples mistaken ideas about Turkey!

Four and a half sleeps....6.30am flight on Saturday so will need to be up at 3am!
Weather looks good, 4.5TL to the £ and lots of food and drink to be consumed...Can.Not.Wait.

Jayne my case is chokka block! Couldnt squeeze a cigarette paper in mine but plenty of room in BH's still >:D >:D

I always get concerned when couples have his and hers cases! What if your's doesn't appear K4E? I always pack some of each of our clothes in each case.....just in case! Now that's set the cat amongst the pigeons! :laugh: :laugh:

In April we had 2 cases and only one arrived, the other had been left in Manchester so at least it wasn't lost. This was the first time in over 30 flights to Dalaman. Luckily we were going to our own apartment where we have stuff in our private cupboard. Unfortunately all my bras were in the missing case and I didn't have any in the locked cupboard! Lesson learned.

Babs - you're not alone.
I/We have always advocated splitting our belongings across two cases. At least one will be useful while the airlines retrieve the errant one from a warehouse in Tblisi, just in time for you to go home.
I have no sympathy for the his and hers situation when a bag goes walkabout!
I have also been advised, that with TSA locks becoming more normal, having your travel details inside, on a separate sheet of paper means that, should it go astray and lose it's baggage tag, the case, when opened, reveals the true owner!
I think I've tempted fate enough with departure to the airport imminent! ;D

Well there'll be some of my things in BH's case and he'll look very fetching in my frocks ;D

And alternatively, you may look very fetching in wharever your BH wears! Perhaps you could sell tickets sand have a fashion show?
I just hope thst one's not into thongs and the other into those cut-down vests that body builders favour! >:D
