Hi I'm new to the enjoy kalkan forum and thought I'd introduce myself
Went to kalkan for the first time last year and stayed in pinetree villa which was fantastic.
Heading back this year for two weeks in the middle of may and staying at my parents villa (they have been going for 9 years and finally decided to buy) Cannot wait.
Just wondered if anyone would have any information about usual time weather etc that time of year?

May is normally lovely, not to hot like say Aug. You may need a cardigan if your dining at a roof top restaurant. You may also get occasional rain, but nothing to worry about, hopefully

Praying it doesn't rain. Taking 3 friends out for there first time in kalkan and want them to get a good impression of the place.
Fine dining and efes all the way though. 😃

I'm sure they will love it. Don't worry if there's a bit of rain. It can be heavy and then it stops, the sun comes out and you're on the sun lounger again. If it's a breezy night then don't eat on a roof top as it can make it feel cooler, eat down at street level, otherwise it's fine. Just have a cardigan or pashmina (sometime nights you might need it other times you won't). We have been out late april to early may for the last 10 years and the weather has ranged from absolutely great to a little bit mixed but we have enjoyed every minute.

The sea is a bit bracing at this time of year and pools a bit on the chilly side too, but its a lovely time of year to visit - everything feels fresh and new. Have a great stay :)
