Hi Kalkaners
We are going to Kalkan end April/Beg May with some friends and it's their 25th wedding anniv. I said I would find somewhere special to go for a meal and I know I've seen recommendations before for one of the nice hotels which is meant to do a lovely meal. Lykia maybe?? Can anyone help me out please?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sezkalkan,
This is a question that has been asked over & over again, albeit, it's not a problem
Kalkan is FULL of special restaurants & Everyone has their favs (and not so favs, one mans meat ...!) you will be spoilt for choice.
As a heads up, who ever recommended the Lykia hotel to you knows what they are talking about, the setting, views, service & food are 2nd to none, that's for sure.
I think the best advice I can offer is once you are here have a look around, check out the menus, most are displayed outside the restaurants and make your own mind up, I'm confident
you won't be disappointed.
Please let us know where you decided to go & what you thought about it
Hope you all have a fab holiday in beautiful Kalkan....it's very hard not to.

Hi we love going to Lykia restaurant the terrace has one of the best view of kalkan on some weds nights have live jazz ( can't wait for June ) the gentlemans menu had the prices but not the ladies lovely touch ! The food is amazing and the prices are similar to the roof top restaurants in town
We go in June and oct we also love fish terrace !

Thank you both, I thought it was the Lykia. :)
Onelove - we know Kalkan well, have our own place now, so know all the lovely restaurants, but just fancied doing something a little different.
I just hope the hotel is open in early May. So looking forward to my first Kalkan fix of the year, can't wait.
Thanks again.

Lycia for us every time !

If I understood that right you have your own place ? What about dinner there prepared by the chef at home that is often mentioned on here ?
You could have complete control of the menu as opposed to finding a place that suited everyone.
Other than that learnt only last year that Mahal Beach Club does meals at night & I believe is pretty good. Last but not least enquire about the dinner on a boat run by Lipsos restaurant, I'm assuming it's smart dinner on a boat, rather than the more casual spread of evening boat trips.
Just some thoughts out the box you may find useful.

Yes great call http://www.chefsathomekalkan.com/ (http://www.chefsathomekalkan.com/) highly recommended, we have used Kazim ourselves also several guests have booked him and given fabulous feedback, however he does get booked up so you do need to pre book as early as poss.

Thanks for the home chef idea guys and gals! I had actually thought about that too. I will speak to my friends and see what they would like to do.
