Post by: Mick07413 on December 20, 2016, 10:26:28 PM: Well we have now completed on our purchase in Kalkan. A couple of days later the assignation in Ankara then the atrocity in Berlin. You can't be safe anywhere these days so I'll be happy with what we have got. Beautiful sea, sand and sunsets. Looking forward to the years ahead.memories in the making.

Our maintenance company is Lycian homes it seems to be standard contract . Has anyone got any feedback on them

It was never in "the plan" that we would actually live in Kalkan but after a few years (2005) we decided to leave the rat race and experience something different - we are still here!! Winter is certainly an experience,the town changes so much and my wellies and hot water bottle are the best things I brought with me! Snowing in the surrounding villages and a bitter wind here but when the sun shines its fab! So not all sun and sand but to have seasons is actually really nice and now you are an owner you an experiene it all.Not changing the clocks has been weird,it is so dark in the mornings (poor workers and school kids) but we benefit later in the day..........See you in Kalkan in January...
