I'm starting to get excited. We're off on Friday. Loads to do before then. Nothing sorted, packed or organised. Still to book the taxi to the airport. I think I'd better start making a list!
However, not in a flap yet as I know it will get done in time even if I don't sleep on Thursday! Nothing will stop me from getting back there!

K4E I'm clearly a bit of a "lastminute.com" sort of girl. I always intend to be organised days before but it never happens! However I have surpassed myself today and put some washing on. Now all I need is a bit of sunshine to get it dry!

I'm at the thinking and list stage......why clothes shall I take, do I need to buy anything? Etc etc
Next comes the "getting out stage" planned for this weekend but I'm slightly thrown as daughter has a couple of friends staying so spare bed will be being used and that's where I pile everything!
Next come "tyranny".......does anything need washing? Don't you dare wear that again, it's been washed! How many shirts do you think you need???
Then the checking......and checking......and checking.......and checking!! :laugh:
Then finally either the night before or the morning we go, if I'm feeling daring, I pack!!
Hard work this getting ready for a relaxing holiday? ???

You are all so lucky, we haven't even anything booked for next year yet so I suppose I'm not even eligible to join this conversation really but nobody puts Lizilu in the corner ;) so I'll count down vicariously with you all. :)

Just 3 sleeps now for us and although I'm not thinking of packing (ages to go yet) my thoughts are turning to the weather forecast.
So far I have downloaded 3 versions of "Kalkan" on the iphone weather app. I keep discarding them based on their less than impressive sun forecasts and so far I haven't found a Kalkan that suggests we will have lovely weather.
The daily temperature seems to be dropping a degree a day and its raining next Monday :o :o ???
Can somebody offer any reassurances that the current weather is as lovely as normal at this time of year?
Is it starting to get cool when the sun drops - are the pashminas out yet?
Apologies if I have highjacked this thread but does everyone else start paying unusual attention to weather forecasts as their countdown approaches?

We have been here nearly three weeks and the weather has been gorgeous. No need fir pashminas wonderful temperatures at night.
It rained yesterday as the KTKN weather forecast predicted. Today is wonderful. Don't worry about the weather. We always come in September and we have had rain before it is getting towards Autumn but it's absolutely lovely at the moment.

I constantly obsess about the weather and check out so many websites to find one which looks good. Just back a week and the weather was hotter than when I was there in June, had lots of lovely holidays in October too so suppose what I'm trying to say is that the sun usually shines and even when it doesn't, there's no place I'd rather be.
