My son is going to Kalkan next week, having been there in July so his evisa is still valid, however he has lost the email with his e visa and is worried he will have a problem at passport control. I thought that when you showed your passport the e visa was on their system. Has anyone traveled through Dalaman without a copy of their current evisa and was it a problem?
Many thanks

Glad you asked this question.....so you don't have to print the visa.....why did I not think of this, it's an evisa!
-
Babes - no it automatically gets 'linked' to your passport ;D

Babes! ;D ;D that brightened up a miserable dull day!

I usually take a paper copy even though I know its linked to the passport and I've never been asked for it.....just in case!
Babes made me laugh too...

I take a paper copy too, I have been asked to produce this at Istanbul, and also at Dalaman in May when our flight times had been changed by Monarch and bought forward. I didn't think about the visa and neither did the lady in front of us as we'd obviously both put the next day as the start date as we should have been landing in the early hours. Fortunately the immigration officer allowed us through after checking the visa but we were illegal for a few hours.

When they first began electronic systems not joined up & you had to have a hard copy to show at passport control. I've continued to have one printed with me 'just in case'. And I think in theory you should carry it with you (bit like your passport or copy thereof) when out & about for confirmation of identity & official approval of being in the country.
If you wanted another copy you may be able to go back on the e-visa website & re-download it.

Printed one, just in case it is then!

We weren't asked to show our visa at all.

Babs I didn't mean to call you Babes ha ha ;)
Since the attempted coup and turkey is in a 'state of emergency' they are advising we have copies of visa and passport on us at all times just in case we get stopped and asked for it?

We were asked for a printed copy at Istanbul....perhaps the system was down I don't know. Just thought I'd mention.
