Hi All
Is anyone going to kalkan for Oct half term week for a last bit of sun ??
Looking out of the window at a grey & cold London I wish I still had some holiday left ..
would love to hear a few last kalkan stories to keep me going, or even an out of season poster to help us all through the winter..

Hi I'm going! My third and final visit for the year and exactly for that reason of stacking up on a Kalkan fix and some sunshine to see me through the winter. Even more exciting is that I'm going for 20 nights, yes 20 nights the first 10 just me and my daughter and them Hubble and son will join us on 5 November.
Not sure what to expect as all but 6 days will be out of season so expect a different sort of holiday. Not sure how many restaurants will be open but will manage I am sure with quite a few bbq's whilst gazing st the night sky. Looking forward to doing some sightseeing in cooler temps than the summer, really cannot wait. Will try to write some reports to share the experience and brighten your chilly days back here in the uk

We have been here since Sept 20th (apart from me having four days back in UK last week) and will be here until 2nd November... the weather is just glorious.
I still can't understand why more people don't come in October - easily the best month, by far :)

Hi
I'm very envious .. next year I'm going to manage my holidays better and save a week for Oct ..
Sitting at work with my electric heater on full blast .. sounds like the weather is better than when we were out in September. I guess we was Just unlucky I suppose.
looking forward to the updates .. :)

We are usually in kalkan at this time of year so feeling quite jealous of the lovely weather. Although we had a great time in Andalusia last week I can't help feeling a little sad that we are missing are final fix of sun before the winter. It's a long time since we were in kalkan in May and it's even longer till we go next October! :(

Off to Kalkan tomorrow for 6 days. Excited as usual but looks as if we may be unlucky with the weather as the forecast isn't good for four of the days. We caught storms when we were there last October and OH says that if we have prolonged rain again this year he's refusing to book another October break so I'm really really hoping things improve!

We have been going around the 9th/10th of October for the last 4 years and although this year was particularly good, it's been great each year, with only a few showers which were fine.

All packed and ready to go. Barney our golden retriever knows somethings up and keeps looking at me with his big eyes saying please don't leave me again! Cats couldn't care less

Looking forward to a few reports Annie! It's all gone a bit quiet of late. Anyway, safe journey...

It's been rather wet & damp the last week.
