Hi,
I am looking to visit in July 2016 for 3 weeks. looking for 2 bedroom accommodation. It will be my first time to Kalkan
so a bit unsure on areas. Don't want to be too far out from town, as like to eat out and have a few drinks. |Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Hi Tony,
Welcome to the forum, re your apartment requirement may i suggest the Mediterranean complex it is about as central as you can get 2/3 minutes to the harbour and 2/3 minutes to the central town, the complex has 5 beautiful shared swimming pools, beautiful kept complex on Akdeniz Cadessi just below chillies restaurant.
We have a one bedroom apartment on this complex and booked already for July, there are also 2 & 3 bedroom apartments on the complex and are advertised on owners direct and home away, i have added our property reference number for you to help find the mediterranean complex-apartments.

I would also recommend Truffle, Dere and a little bit further out (but still walkable) Emir. All these areas have properties featured on owmers direct or holiday lettings websites.

tonye1960 ....... you have a lot of choice re your requirements, suggest you check out the websites, Owners Direct, for eg., but when reading the distances for walking eg some are rather misleading. There is the old town area with plenty of eating places, the centre of Kalkan & then areas a little further up within walking distances of almost everything. Where ever you are in the town you are certainly not far from bars & eating places.

Just seen the posts.Take a look at Caretta.....a two large double bedroom apartment.It is based in The Komurluk area of town...........a mere ten minute flat stroll to town,with fab views on the way.....and yet our location is very very peaceful
We are in between Patara Prince resort and Kalkan and have the best panoramic views by far in Kalkan,and the longest sunsets.

tonye1960, as that time of the year is deemed peak season, you might struggle a bit with your budget for something very central with two bedrooms. If you need it to sleep 4 and your budget is fixed, you may need to look a little further out of town...Ortalaan or Kiziltas (over the D400) will be cheaper. Good luck!

Old Town/Central Kalkan is certainly most convenient for bars, restaurants, shops, beach and harbour. If you can get good views and a pool as well - all the better, although you may need to rethink your budget for a prime location in peak season.

Kalyan Secrets have a lovely two bed roomed apartment in their Nur complex. It is very central in Kalkan and has a lovely big swimming pool. I have no personal interest in this other than I have stopped there three times and found the apartments there lovely well equipped and very well looked after. Kalkan Magic also have lovely apartments with fabulous views over the bay. They both have web sites so may be worth a look.
