Title: Cheating on Kalkan

Well, the thing is...we didnt think we could manage a second break this year, but then along comes Avios (Airmiles) who told me I needed to use my gazillion points up by the end of the year or we'd lose them. Straight away I tried to get flights to Dalaman or Antalya with enough points to also get a hotel.....we'd be quids in.
No flights to either location available >:( Not this side of Armageddon..!
After much research and looking at many MANY permutations of flights and hotels to numerous and I mean NUMEROUS locations - and weighing up those nasty fees and charges Avios add onto flights, we settled on a package holiday (at top rates) through one of their "partner" companies.
So, three weeks today, we are off to Agios Gordios on the the Greek Island of Corfu for one week - because it sounded a bit like Greece of old. Under developed and tavernas on the beach. Excited to be leaving this dreadful UK summer behind for 7 days but I said to BH I feel like I'm cheating on Kalkan..... :-[

Sounds lovely K4E. You are not cheating on Kalkan, the world is there for us to discover.  :)

As you know, we went to Mauritius and Dubai as part of my birthday celebrations and had a fantastic time. A totally different experience to Kalkan, so think of it like you do with the handbags - spread the love  ;)  :-*

Although if you're anything like us, you'll compare everything to Kalkan and realise how special Kalkan really is and why we all are so addicted.  ;D

Aahh special occasion holidays on long haul flights don't count...I can reconcile those with myself quite easily. But going in the same(ish) direction for no particular reason other than to have a holiday feels like I'm having an affair :o

Make the most of your air miles and have a fabulous time in Corfu. As they say......a change is as good as a rest!!

How exciting K4E, another little holiday, don't think of it as cheating on Kalkan, just think of it as another holiday in addition to Kalkan! hope you are going to do a blog about it! Hope you have a fab time  :D :D :D
