Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew where to get day trips to Patara from now. I used to get them from the kiosk by the taxi rank but they've gone now. I booked to go to there with another company last year but you had to pay to get into Patara, the fair itself and the latest pick up time was 4pm...?
Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Go to the bus station (Otogar) up the road towards BIM and the traffic lights - you can get dolmus from there to everywhere including Patara!

Oh they must have moved! I wonder why.. Do you know of any which are bit more central?

Its Kalkan minibus koop that do day returns to Patara for 12tl including entry, they operate from the bus station, Ayse's Kitchen end, they do pick up somewhere in the town, somewhere near the old belediye building opposite the taxi rank. Their telephone number is 0541 2557701

We went to Patara last week with Mediteran Travel who are a tiny bit down from the taxi rank on the left hand side. It was 25TL per person and this included entry to the beach. We were very impressed - picked up at 10.30am at the Mediteran office (we were given seats inside the office so we could enjoy the air con whilst we waited, and handed a bottle of cold water). We were taken in an air-conditioned silver mercedes people carrier which carried 8 passengers. We were collected promptly at 4pm by the same very friendly driver who handed us another bottle of water and a chocolate muffin. We were dropped off close to our apartment.
Friends of ours got the dolmus from the bus station on the same day. They were also due to return at 4pm. They were left sitting on the dolmus with no air-con and by the time they arrived back, we'd already been for a swim and sunbathe back at the apartments. They said they'd try Mediteran next time! :)

Kajfish, that sounds very good value to Patara and back. We got the Dolmus one year, and it was absolutely jammed packed and we too were left sat in with the doors shut and no air con! and we thought never again! So maybe worthy thinking about Mediteran this year. Thank you for posting.

RoseForever - I don't think so, we were told 10.30am to 4pm. Worth asking the question though!
