Our great friend and fabulous musician, singer and writer Aklan Akdağ has just released his second album. Try and get a copy - its superb. (It's in Turkish but you don't need to understand the words - the music is beautiful enough) :)

Hi Martyn -  just looked for this on iTunes - could only find his last album - even that is perfect, so now have that one and will keep my eye out for the latest release - thanks for the tip!

Thanks martyn. As you already know I'm partial to a bit of Aklan.  ;)
Seriously he is such a talented musician and his melodies are beautiful. Will you both be entertaining us this summer in Kalkan?  :)

Thanks for this. I have been on to I Tunes and downloaded 12 songs between the old and new albums. I just love his voice.

Where can I hear him play live in mid September when we come out for four fabulous weeks?

By the way Antler, if you like track 10 you would also like the theme tune from the Film The Water Diviner {Love was my Alibi -Kris Fogelmark} I eventually found it on You Tube.

Aklan tells me he is playing at the Blue Turtle every Sunday this season. Sadly, as I am spending a lot of time back in the UK this summer, I will only be joining him the last Sunday in June and the first Sunday in July (then again for a few weeks in September/October)  Better than nothing though...it's a real privilege to play with him 8)

Will possibly  get to see you play again then MartynE as I will be in Kalkan both those Sundays! Could you tell me where the Blue Turtle is please?

Thanks Martin E. I will look forward to seeing you both in September/October. It looks like both the suziq's like the same kind of music.

Suzyq1...the Blue Turtle is next to Chillies, if that helps? It used to be called the Lounge.

Thanks Martyn E. As soon as I asked the question I had a horrible feeling you were going to say Kas I so did a bit of homework and found out roughly where it was.
Hope to see you there.
