Well those of you regular readers may remember my cancelled trip to Kalkan last year at this time, due to our faithful 4 legged yellow lab taking ill.
Well unfortunately for the family, it is my father who took Ill last week, just days before I was due to fly out.
So for those of you with little grumbles about the noise and the harbour area, ENJOY your time out there enjoying some lovely sunshine, scenery, food, friends and having fun. I have very selfishly felt very flat this week, travelling 150 miles each visit to the hospital to see my lovely dad!
Fingers crossed I can get out soon and check on things as it is 8 months since I was there and it would be reassuring to see the apartment is all as it should be. Fortunately we don't rent it as that would have been a real problem.
At least my 4 legged fur ball has been happy to have me home, so that is a big consolation

Oh poor you macrefield mom! :( hopefully things will take an upturn soon and you'll be able to get out to the lovely Kalkan!

Oh dear....you must feel as though you're never getting out to Kalkan :(
I do hope your dad gets better soon - what an awful time for you.

I was so sorry to hear Macrefield mom that you are again having to postpone your holiday in Kalkan. I do hope your father makes a good quick recovery and that you will soon be able to visit and enjoy your Kalkan apartment. I hope you have someone to keep an eye on the place when you are away.

Thank you for your kind words. He is still very poorly but the family are all rallying round and he is pain free. Have booked to get out for 5 days in June to check everything out and have peace of mind that things are ok, so 'Inshallah' I can go. Something to look forward to...
